We understand that to deliver the very best in care demands a holistic approach to both formal and informal services. From a specialist dementia programme that captures individual’s interests and engages people at a level that suits them, to involving relatives in the care of our residents and giving due attention to good nutrition, we pledge to bring out the best in each and every one of our residents.
Life at Arbory is about living within a community and that goes beyond having friends and staff members around to talk to and a stimulating range of activities to participate in. We make provision for the ordinary, everyday considerations too, in order to ensure the comfort and well-being of everyone.
A hairdresser comes into the hair and beauty salon once a week to provide haircuts to anyone that wants one. A visiting optician performs annual sight tests and always comes in to meet new residents or whenever someone has broken their spectacles. A hearing advisor offers monthly checks to those with a hearing aid and we have a chiropodist who will see each person every six weeks or so to make sure that nothing is left unaddressed.
Our minibus service is used for outings when residents fancy and appointments when necessary, ensuring independence and guaranteeing the peace of mind that comes from the knowledge that nothing is too much trouble.
