Located in Hampshire, Arbory is set in the heart of rolling English countryside. Home to 64 residents, the environment is tailored to ensure that our residents can live life to the full.

With craft rooms, a hair salon and life skills laundry to encourage productive stimulation, as well as quiet areas and tranquil gardens designed to promote calm and relaxation, we are able to address the particular needs that arise with dementia.

We take every opportunity to engage our residents in meaningful activities in a way that enhances the everyday and caters for their personal interests. Our team has devised a thoughtful timetable of group and individual activities, including a programme of outings in our wheelchair friendly minibus to local places of interest, to ensure integration and stimulation is a normal part of daily life for everyone.

By encouraging those who enjoy cooking to continue to help prepare snacks and beverages for themselves, family and friends in our resident-friendly kitchens and establishing the Terrace Cafe where our residents can entertain visitors, we work to prolong independence by helping people to maintain a feeling of control over their own lives.

We appreciate that mealtimes are a principal part of everyday life and taking pleasure from sitting down to a meal is important. Our catering team understands the need to prepare highly-nutritious meals and is careful to devise appetising menus that our residents will enjoy, whilst taking into account the particular requirements of people with dementia.

But it is the attention to detail that really makes Arbory special. Every resident has their own front door, with a memory box filled with personalised memorabilia to help him or her identify their room. From the pictures and photos that decorate the hallways and lounges to the bookcases and vases of freshly cut flowers, Arbory is very much a home.
