At Arbory, we are proud to have a highly qualified and well trained team. Our residents and their family members can rest assured that our home is fully supported 24 hours a day by a staff with extensive experience in caring for people with dementia and mental health needs, who are passionate about improving the lives of those they look after.

‘The staff clearly knew people well and they treat the residents with a great deal of respect, care and attention’
CQC Inspection Report, April 2010

We appreciate that in order to deliver the very best care to our residents we must start by employing the right people. The safety and well-being of our residents is paramount and demands a comprehensive and stringent recruitment process. Each member of the team is carefully interviewed and pre-employment checks are undertaken – including references and Criminal Background Checks – before any appointment is offered.

All of our team members participate in our in-house induction and training programme, which emphasises the best practice in care. We work closely with local colleges to ensure that this initial training is supported by ongoing internal and external training, resulting in many of our care team achieving nationally recognised certificates in dementia and highly regarded NVQs in care.

Our senior staff members are supported with training in management and supervision skills to promote a friendly working environment where everyone feels respected and wants to give their best.

‘The manager and the provider are committed to training and developing the staff team’
CQC Inspection Report, April 2010

All of our employees recognise the importance of making every moment count and we would like to thank them for their commitment and enthusiasm, which makes Arbory such a wonderful place to be.

Iain is the General Manager of the Arbory
