We understand that being able to enjoy the great outdoors is very important to many people and that should not have to change with a dementia diagnosis.
The gardens are a source of real pride for the team at Arbory, providing a wonderful sense of freedom and space in a safe and secure environment.

With all the features of an ordinary garden, including a vegetable patch and clothes line where residents can continue with a familiar household chore, the grounds are also home to a fish pond, rabbit and Avery to engage those that live at Arbory in nurturing pastimes.
Designed to be therapeutic, the layout offers stimulation when it is sought and tranquillity when it is needed. Whether feeding the animals or relaxing by a water feature, growing vegetables and herbs with the help of staff in the allotment or listening to the birds singing in the Avery, the grounds provide a colourful setting and peaceful haven.
Traditional games can be played on the lawn during warmer months and our residents can even cool off with homemade ice-cream or afternoon tea with their relatives in the Terrace Cafe afterwards.
From raising the flower beds to laying a network of fully accessible paths, our residents are at the heart of everything we do. The gardens at Arbory really do set us apart from the rest.
