Built in 2005, Arbory Court was purposefully designed to support the needs of those with dementia, which is evident in its thoughtful layout and attention to detail.
With 38 fully en-suite bedrooms over three floors, privacy and individualism is assured and residents are encouraged to decorate their room with family pictures and personal effects to create badges of familiarity.
There are little corners or interest at every turn, including a music area complete with piano, old-fashioned gramophone and selection of musical memorabilia, which capture interest and can provide helpful prompts for conversation with staff and visiting relatives.
Quiet retreats are found in proximity to the communal lounges, which make use of the indoor fish-tank, lava lamps and house-plants to create sanctuaries of calm and refuge for when they are needed.
With direct access to the garden and views over the road and courtyard, the Court really is the perfect place from which to enjoy all that Arbory has to offer.
